Flurodide & Sealants

  • Fluoride Application
  • Sealants

Fluoride treatment

can be applied as early as around 24 months of age,
and it’s most effective when done every 3–6 months

  • Before Fluoride Application

  • Fluoride Application

  • Post-Fluoride Benefits

    - Strengthens the tooth surface to resist cavities
    - Fluoride in the mouth promotes remineralization of teeth
    - Protects teeth from acids and bacteria

Why is Fluoride Treatment
Necessary for My Child?

  • 01. It’s difficult for children to brush thoroughly on their own.
  • 02. Enamel isn’t fully developed, making them more prone to cavities.
  • 03. Permanent teeth have deeper grooves, making cleaning harder.
  • 04. Children have a higher incidence of cavities compared to adults.
Precautions for Fluoride Treatment
  • - Avoid consuming water or food for 30 minutes after application.
  • - On the day of application, avoid hard or hot foods and carbonated drinks.
  • - It’s best to skip brushing on the day of the fluoride application.
  • - Use a disposable toothbrush for the first brushing after the application.
  • Out-of-Pocket Cost

    10% of the covered cost
Reapplication: Every 2 years on the same tooth

  • Eligible Age

Children and teens up to 18 years old

  • Application Areas

First and second permanent molars without cavities A total of 8 molars

What are Sealants?

Children’s molars have narrow, deep grooves on the chewing surface, making them more prone to trapping food and plaque, which leads to cavities, as toothbrush bristles can’t easily reach these areas. Sealants fill in these grooves to prevent cavities, offering about 70–80% effectiveness in cavity prevention.

  • Clean the tooth surface to ensure no impurities remain.

  • Apply acid etching to the surface.

  • After acid etching, apply the sealant.

Is it just a one-time application?
NO! NO! NO!

"Sealant Retention Period: 5 Years"

Sealants aren’t permanent but are a surface coating for teeth. Continued care is essential,
so regular dental check-ups every 6 months are needed to maintain them long-term.
