7 reasons NOT to get surgery in Korea

On the daily, you get bombarded with perfect faces and bodies on Instagram/facebook/youtube and the like.

That makes some of us want to get surgery to look perfect too!

So should everyone have surgery?

The answer is NO!

Surgery is NOT for everyone and we have 7 reasons why you should NOT get surgery.

7 reasons NOT to get surgery in Korea

#1 Research

Everyone repeats the “research, research, research” motto but how many of us actually take the time to do the proper research.

Seeing before and after photos and reading reviews are good but like anything on the internet, you have to take it with a grain of salt.

That being said, if you cannot commit to getting to know what your surgery entails, information about your surgeon, experience level etc. just don’t get surgery.

#2 Realistic expectations

This is one of the reasons so many people get dissatisfied with surgery results.

Plastic surgery is not a MAGIC WAND! It doesn’t just make you look beautiful like the IG models.

What it does, is enhance what you were born with. The reason some surgery results are so dramatic is that the right surgeries were done to give the facial balance it was missing.

There are limits to surgery, example, someone with thick skin on the nose, can expect to have a slimmer nose, but not a complete Barbie nose, because there are limitations based on your own body.

Everyone is different so the results are different for every person, so if you have unrealistic expectations, DON’T have surgery.

#3 Swelling / Bruising

YADA YADA YADA…

People really need to calm down and realize that getting surgery is not MAGIC.

You don’t get surgery and look like a beauty queen in 24 hours.

Healing takes time, and swelling and bruising depend on your own body and its healing mechanism.

If you do not have the patience to sit tight and let your body heal, NO surgery for you.

#4 Botched surgery

AGAIN…another thing people go on and on about.

The key point here, all surgeons are humans. Things can go wrong sometimes.

Your body can react unexpectedly to surgery and that is not something anyone can know in advance or have control over.

It is the same for any kind of surgery, so there is always a chance that things will not come out as expected and that is something you have to be able to deal with.

If you are not willing to take the risk, then do NOT get surgery. It’s that easy.

#5 Can’t make time to heal

Ho..Ho..Ho…

Why do people take sick days off for getting the flu but think that it is alright to get back to work right after surgery?

The body needs TIME to heal, so if you want to commit to surgery, you need to make the time to heal after.

Not only is it crucial, it can make all the difference.

SO if you do not have time to spare, say NO to surgery.

#6 Can’t afford surgery

It’s nothing to be ashamed of. You do not have enough money at the moment, not a problem.

Save up, take a loan or find an alternative BUT if none of those options work for you then don’t get surgery.

No point in getting surgery and making your financial situation worst.

You don’t need that type of stress when healing!

#7 Trust issues

Saved the best for the last…

The internet is full of lies, deal with it! We all have trust issues and are wary of what someone says or what they try to sell us.

HERE is an important tip though.

Trust is necessary between a doctor and their patient.

You have to TRUST your doctor.

If you cannot trust your doctor, their abilities, their experience, their recommendations, their opinions…Then do NOT have surgery. Period.
