One of the most commonly asked questions when it comes to double jaw surgery is if this surgery can be performed with rhinoplasty.

Can rhinoplasty surgery be performed together with double jaw surgery?





The answer is no it shouldn"t be performed together and the reason is for a number of reasons.

1. Breathing issues.
After two jaw surgery / double jaw surgery, the patient will have a difficult time breathing from the mouth for the first week, and will need to breathe from the nose. If you under go nose surgery, then the patient will have an extremely hard time breathing since they can barely breathe from the mouth and barely breathe from the nose.

2. Overall balance
Two jaw / double jaw surgery is a complex, intense surgery and can change your facial contour and balance drastically. The nose should be performed later in order to match the new balance and proportion of the new facial contour and when the bite and alignment is stabilized


Even though double jaw surgery and rhinoplasty cannot be performed together, other surgeries such aws v line + double jaw surgery or v line + rhinoplasty, etc. can be performed together no problem!
