On the day of your surgery and After the surgery
1.You must not eat anything or drink even water for 8 hours prior to the surgery so that you can undergo general anesthesia without any problems.
2.On the day of the surgery, you must not wear any jewelry (earrings, ring, bracelet, watch, etc.) and you must not wear any make-up.
In case you wear contact lenses, you must wear glasses instead.
3.Upon arrival at the hospital, you must change your clothing into a hospital gown.
4.You meet the chief surgeon and design your area of procedure.
5.You will be transferred to the anesthesia room and undergo anesthesia.
6.You will then move to the operating room and the surgery will begin.
After the surgery
1.After spending 2 hours in the recovery room under the nurses’ watch, you will be transferred to the patient’s room once you fully recover from the anesthesia.
2.You will be under the care of specialized nurses in the patient’s room. You will take a sedative and get your blood pressure checked on a regular basis.
3.The next day you get skin care to reduce the swelling. You are then discharged from the hospital.
4.You may be driven to your hotel or any other destination by the hospital’s limousine.
5.On the 4th day, you visit the surgeon for a check-up and receive skin care for your swelling.
6.On the 7th day, you come back to the hospital to get your stitches removed. The surgeon takes a close look at how the progress is being made. You receive skin care for your swelling.
7.On the 14th day, you come to get your stitches removed and the surgeon takes a close look at how the progress is being made. You receive skin care for your swelling.
In case you cannot stay in Korea for two weeks, the stitches inside your mouth don’t need to be removed because they melt over time. Or you can also get the stitches removed after you return to your country.
