Double eyelids with the different left and right sides

This is an instance in which only the right or left eye has double eyelid or when the size of the double eyelids on the left and right eyes are different even when one has double eyelids on two eyes. Generally, this is referred to as mismatch. What is most important is the root cause that the double eyelids on the left and right eyes ended up with different sizes. If the root cause lies with the muscle that opens up the eyes, it is necessary to undergo eye shape plastic surgery (sleepy eye surgery). If this is not the case, however, it is possible to create sufficiently beautiful double eyelids using merely regular double eyelid surgery.

One of the questions asked frequently by the patients with double eyelids with the different left and right sides is whether they can simply get the surgery for one side without the double eyelid. In principle, however, the two sides have to undergo surgery since it is not easy to form harmony between the double eyelids made naturally and surgically if not. However, there are instances in which only one side is operated depending on different cases when non-incision alone is sufficient, but this requires diagnosis by an expert.
