Before Surgery

I have always wanted to get double eyelids. I had confidence issues and felt surgery will make me more confident. I had been using the eyelid tape for years and because of that, my eyelids have started to sag. I looked older than my actual age and I wanted to get surgery to fix that.



I was very nervous before getting my consultation. When the surgeon examined me, he suggested that I get the ptosis correction surgery with double eyelid surgery. The surgery was done under local anesthesia with sedation. I only remember being put under anesthesia, and then I fell asleep.

1 week after

I did not have any pain when I woke up from surgery. When the anesthesia wore off, I still didn’t feel any pain, but just some tightness and bruising.



The stitches were removed 7 days after surgery and it was quick and painless. I still have a lot of swelling.

1 month after

My recovery has been going on quite well, but I still feel like my eyelids are swollen. I love the results so far and the eyelid creases are so balanced. I finally put on my lenses now after 1 month.

3 months after

I am able to put on some eye makeup now. I still have swelling but it decreases as the weeks go by the crease looks more natural day to day.



The swelling is minimal but not completely gone even at the 3 months mark. My scars are still pretty obvious so I will just wait to see what happens as I heal.

6 months-1 year after

My eyes do not look droopy and I do not look tired and lifeless anymore. I look awake and that has grown my confidence a lot as a person.



I have totally forgotten the hassle of eyelid tapes and would not recommend anyone to use them long-term.
