Before Surgery
I was excited to be able to go to Korea for plastic surgery. I always disliked the asymmetry on my jaw, and it is well known that the best jaw surgeries are performed in Korea. I met my friend Pixee Fox after her surgery at ID Hospital with the famous Dr. Park, so I knew this was the right place to go. I'm happy I decided to go there!
Consultation Day
The first day was impeccable. I've never been to a place where everything is so organized and full of professionalism. They explained everything to me, I knew since the start how I would look, what was possible and what was not. Each case is different. In my case, it was decided that to fix my problem a double jaw surgery was needed, but a V-line was performed instead.
I do not have much to add for the first day more than the shocking value, because everything in the hospital is so pretty, even the staff! It’s like a crew in a giant spaceship.
I did all the pre-surgery tests and I was surprised by the technology and the speed of results.
1 Week after surgery
The first week was probably the worst, as in every surgery I've done. When you get surgeries that alter the bone structure, you can expect to feel some pain. But nothing you can't stand. I dare say the worst part is only the first day, just because you can't eat or drink anything. But after that, all starts to get better and better day by day!
2 Weeks after surgery
After some days I was recommended to do some light walking to speed up the healing process. I didn't think about it twice and started taking walks around the hotel surroundings. The hospital is in a very nice neighborhood, probably one of the most well known in Seoul. I highly encourage you to always take your camera with you, because you'll see amazing sights on every corner!
I was scared to walk around after having a big surgery but I soon forgot about that and relaxed.
If you visit Seoul for surgery, don't miss the opportunity to visit Myeong-dong, Seoul Tower, the palaces, and Lotte mall!
1 Month after surgery
After a month, my swelling started to go down. Everything went great, so even if I still had some swelling going on, I was able to record some interviews for international channels, and look good on camera.
3 Months after surgery
After three months, after filming and all that, I was back into my normal, slow-paced life. I noticed I started taking a lot more selfies than before.
6 Months after surgery
After six months, the swelling has disappeared completely. I look so much younger, prettier, and happier.
9 Months to 1 year after surgery
A year post-surgery, I decided to do a facelift in order to tighten my skin since I did have some sagging skin after surgery, which can happen to some patients. It was nothing out of the ordinary, and when it was done, I was able to see the amazing changes enhanced.
Overall, the experience was excellent. I am extremely happy with the results, and I wish I can visit the hospital sometime soon, at least to say "Hi" and "Thanks!"
