Before Surgery

 

I had a long jaw with an uneven bite, so I wanted to correct that part. I found out about ID Hospital and decided to have my orthognathic surgery and V-line surgery there.

Consultation and Surgery

I was not that nervous because I knew I was in good hands. I went to surgery with a positive outlook.

1 Week after surgery  

A week after surgery, I actually felt no pain at all. My cheeks were very swollen and for me, that's a very reasonable thing considering I have 2 surgeries.



I can only swallow porridge, and I cannot bite so the food is a problem for me. I cannot let the stitches get wet so taking a shower and washing my face was quite difficult.

2 Weeks after surgery

The swelling has slowly reduced, but I lost a lot of weight (10 kgs) because of eating liquids for 2 weeks. I am happy that I will finally have my stitches removed this week.

1 Month after surgery 

I was not allowed to go to the gym for 2 months after surgery, but at my one-month check-up, the doctor gave me permission to begin my workouts. My face is still swollen, and my bite is not yet closing.

3 Months after surgery 

I look a lot better now at 3 months. My swelling has reduced a lot. I still have a lot of numbness in my jaw area but I am very happy with the results, looking forward to my complete recovery.
