Before Surgery
After having 2 kids, I decided to go on an extreme diet hoping to look good again, and successfully lost 15 kg. However, due to my age in the 40s, my skin elasticity was not the same as before which caused my skin to sag, making me look more aged and old.
I decided to go for a consultation for a facelift. It was very hard to find the right hospital as I was very cautious. But after some consultation, I decided to go with ID hospital. I liked the fact that they had specialized doctors for each category of surgery. During the consultation, the Doctors were very thorough in explaining the procedures and immediately gained my trust. I decided to get under-eye fat repositioning for my eye bags, fat grafting to restore volume on my face, and a minimal incision facelift.
7 days post-op
I worked from home from after surgery and went back to work on Day 7.
Everything looked great except the bruise on my eyes. Thanks to the mask, it was barely noticeable that I had surgery. My swelling has gone down a lot by day 7. I feel like my skin is quite tight due to the suture but my smile line and sagging has improved a lot and my face volume is restored. My coworkers were surprised to see me and told me I look much younger already 🙂
One month Post-op
Time flew by! I can't believe it's already been one month after surgery. I'm 100000000% satisfied with my surgery and my happiness level is 100000000%.
10 days after surgery, I revisited the hospital for my treatment and to remove my sutures. The doctor really took the time to look at my surgical area to ensure there were no infections and explained to me the precautions in detail. The nurse told me that my swelling wasn't so bad compared to other patients saying that my swelling is almost gone even though it's only been 10 days post-surgery. I also didn't feel like I swelled up a lot! If it wasn't for the bruise in my eyes, I don't think anyone would have noticed that I had facelift surgery! The bruises went away after 3 weeks and I was able to feel all my sensations in my face again.
I never used to like taking selfies but lately, I've been really enjoying taking selfies! It was my first surgery experience which I put a lot of thought into and took some time for me to make the decision, however, it was all worth the whole experience! I'm very happy with my decision!
