Hello,
I would like to reduce the frontal width of my lower face so that it creates an oval shape.
I feel that my large jaw bone, combined with fatty cheeks and overdeveloped facial muscles makes my face disproportionate to the rest of my facial features (see photo 1). I also feel there is some assymmetry with extra bulk along the left side of my jaw.
Ideally I would like to leave my chin alone.
One concern are my dental braces worn 5 years ago to correct my overbite. In the process my wisdom teeth and canines (8 teeth in total) were removed. What impact (if any) will this have?
Can you kindly suggest which procedure/s I should consider with your clinic to acheive the oval shaped face I desire? (see photo 2 for reference) and its related information regarding:
- how evasive the procedure is and complications that may arise
- how it will alter the appearance of my head in profile
- price of consultation
- price of surgery and hospital stay
- operating time
- recovery procedure and recovery time
- recommended period of stay in Korea
- how long it will take for most of the swelling to go down

The costs for facial contouring surgeries are as the followings;
- Cheek bone reduction: 5,500,000-6,000,000 KRW
- Mandible reduction (Lower jaw angle reduction): 5,500,000-6,000,000 KRW
- V-line surgery (Lower jaw angle reduction + Chin surgery): 8,500,000-9,000,000 KRW
(1 US$ = 1,100 KRW)
All costs include charges for the surgery, pre-operative examinations,
hospital stay(1 night), and post-operative swelling care programs.
The exact costs will be determined after you meet the doctor.
And if you are planning to have 2 or more surgeries at once,
some discounts may be possible but again, the exact costs are
determined after the consultation.
After the surgery, we recommend you to stay in Korea for at least 10-14 days.
The oral stitches can be removed within 2 weeks after the surgery and
most of the swelling and bruising will be reduced also within 2 weeks.
If this is too long for you, you may return to your home after a week
and remove the stitches at a hospital nearby your home.
