Dear dr Park,
I have had a surgery in Belgium 9 weeks ago. I had a second opinion and it turned out to be failed.
What the surgeon had done:
- My face was a-symmetric so i had a chin-surgery.
- To shorten the face and hidden my gummy-smile i had a lefort 1 (the upper jaw is shortened).
- They promised to reduce some bone tissue on the rigt side of the face to make it symmetric
but i cannot see any difference.
Now i can't hardly see any teeth in my upper jaw, it looks unnatural.
Also my face is still a-symmetric.
I wonder what the ID-hospital would recommend me for surgical procedures?
- What are the possibilities to reduce bone tissue on one side of the face?
- Is it possible to extend the upper jaw so that my teeth are visible again?

The surgery was done 9 weeks ago, you are still going to have swelling and you have to heal before we can make any recommendations. Six months is the average time for your surgery results to show themselves so it is too late for you to decide that the surgery did not go well. Either way, revision surgery can only be done after 6 months.
