Hi there,
I am a doctor myself and have been receiving botulinum toxin injections for my masseter muscle hypertrophy over the last 2 years with good and satisfactory results. Unfortunately, in the recent 1 year, my masseter muscles have stopped responding to the injections. Different types of botulinum toxins have been tried by different doctors, including myself, over 1 year but to no avail. Little or no effect has been achieved with Botox, Dysport and Xeomin. My masseter muscles are remaining strong and prominent.
I am now looking for a permanent solution for my masseter muscles hypertrophy which is contributing significantly to my squarish jawline. I would like a surgical resection of the masseter muscles but am not so keen to remove any bone as I was satisfied and happy enough with my jawline when my masseter muscle bulk used to be reduced significantly in size by the botulinum toxin injections. I am not looking for results that are too drastic as well. Also, I am hoping for a shorter recovery period by avoiding any bone removal.
I have a wedding coming up in August so I am hoping to do the surgery as soon as possible to allow for sufficient time for recovery and for the swelling to subside before the wedding. May I find out about the estimated costs for the surgery and if it is possible to perform the operation by the end of this month? Also, is it possible for me to undergo the surgery if I can only spend 3 days in Korea? Can I remove stitches back in Singapore if required?
Thank you very much for attending to my queries. I look forward to your reply!
