Anastasia’s facial feminization surgery (FFS) transformation at ID Hospital

The lovely Anastasia, born and raised in the Philippines came to ID Hospital for her facial feminization surgery (FFS) transformation. She is 35 years old and started her transition on January 7, 2016. We met with her to check on her progress after surgery.

 

Before FFS Surgery

 

ID Hospital: Hi Anastasia. Can you define what it means to be a transgender, for people who do not know what it means? When did you first come to realize that you are a female?

Anastasia: A Transgender or Transsexual is usually someone who is born with a typical male or female anatomy but feel as though they’ve been born into the “wrong body.” I came to realize that I am a female when I was 15 years old.

ID Hospital: What hormones do you take? How long have you been on hormones? How did your body change with HRT?

Anastasia: I don’t take any hormones.

 

 

ID Hospital: What was it like coming out to family and friends? Were they accepting?

Anastasia: I was lucky enough to have full support from my family and friends especially my parents and sister.

ID Hospital: Do people treat you differently? No. How do you deal with it?

Anastasia: No, be humble and kind and everything will be fine. I believe in the saying “What goes around comes around” so I keep that in my mind before taking any action.

ID Hospital: Why did you decide to have your facial feminization surgery (FFS) transformation at ID Hospital? How do you hope to change your life with these surgeries?

Anastasia: I always do a lot of research before undergoing major surgery. So when I saw “Let Me In” and read the reviews, that made me contact ID Hospital. I am hoping to pursue a career in modeling, settle down with the right guy one day and live happily ever after.

 

2 Months Post-surgery

 

ID Hospital: How do you feel after having your surgeries? Are you satisfied with the results? How was the healing process?

Anastasia: I am at 7 weeks post-surgery and I am really happy with the surgery results.

 

 

ID Hospital: Any tips for patients coming to Korea to have facial feminization surgery (FFS) transformation for the first time?

Anastasia: Never come alone especially if you have never traveled alone before. I felt like I needed someone with me after surgery.

ID Hospital: What would you say having these surgeries has done for your life?

Anastasia: I used to feel uninspired and after doing my FFS procedures, I feel like a natural woman. I am more confident and can now pursue my fashion modeling career. I am eager to inspire other transgender women and let them know that nothing is impossible.

Anastasia: Before coming to ID Hospital, I had breast implants, abdomen liposuction, eye surgery, butt enhancement, and rhinoplasty.
