Not sure which FFS procedure you need to look feminine?
Worried about undergoing FFS procedures that you do not need?
Then this post has the answers for you!
With the rise in the demand for Facial feminization surgery (FFS) procedures, finding the right place to have your surgery might be a struggle. Not only that, patients think they have to have a certain set of procedures to look feminine. That is not the case.
FFS procedures offered by ID Hospital can be chosen and customized for every individual, so not everyone needs each procedure.
For example, for someone who does not have a wide jaw, but has a wide chin, then a Mini V-line surgery would be recommended. To make it easier to understand the differences between each surgery and the type of results to expect, let us break it down.
Due to the skeletal differences between men and women, prominent facial bones have to be softened or reduced to create a feminine look.
V-line surgery is used to reduce both the jaw and chin to create a softer feminine facial contour. A wide jaw and chin makes the face structure look longer and more masculine, so this surgery will create a defined feminine jaw.
Mini V-line surgery is used to reduce the chin area only. For patients who have a small jaw, or want to keep the jaw shape the same, this surgery is recommended instead of a V-line surgery.
Cheekbone reduction surgery is used to reduce the cheekbone protrusion and make the cheekbones smoother. A bit of cheekbone projection is normal, but if the size makes the face really wide, then this surgery is required to reduce the facial width.
Brow bone reduction surgery helps reduce the outer corner of the brows to make the brow bone less prominent. One of the most prominent male features is the brow bone so it can be reduced to make the area smooth and feminine. The middle part of the brow bone is not touched during this surgery. The forehead area contains a lot of nerves responsible for sense and movement and damage to those nerves can cause permanent nerve damage. Due to those risks, only the outer part of the eyebrows are shaved.
Forehead reduction surgery also known as Hairline lowering surgery is used to lower the hairline to create a feminine forehead shape. This surgery does not include a forehead/brow bone bossing, but the results will create a forehead shape that fits the individuals’ face shape overall. Bonus tip: Fat graft cannot be done together but if done 3 months after, will add volume to give a more feminine side profile view.
Rhinoplasty is one of the most performed surgeries, and since it is on the center of the face, the length affects how long the face looks. Females have a short, smaller nose, so reducing the length of the nose bridge and making the nose tip slightly curved, it gives a feminine vibe to the face.
Lifting procedures and Accusculpt are recommended for patients who have excess fat, and for patients who will have facial bone contouring surgeries. The type of lifting procedure is recommended based on the age and skin condition of each patient, but if you are above 30 years old, then lifting procedure is necessary.
Fat graft adds volume to the face to sharpen the features and soften the look. Masculine faces are more angular and have sunken areas, whereas feminine faces are more full and voluminous, so this surgery is recommended depending on the person’s age.
Breast Augmentation surgery can drastically improve the body contour. While taking hormones, breasts may grow. However, the breast shape does not develop completely and a breast augmentation surgery is needed to balance the body shape, and create a feminine figure. The surgeon recommends the implant shape and size depending on the individual’s body shape and skin elasticity.
To conclude, FFS procedures are not a package, rather a set of surgeries customized and selected to make your face as feminine as possible.
