V-Line Surgery – Anastasia’s Story

What is V-Line surgery?

Famous throughout Asia, v-line surgery is a combination of two techniques: shaving down the jawbone and repositioning the chin tip.

Anastasia had her v-line surgery in February 2023 after winning the annual ID Model contest. She also had Accu lifting, facial fatgrafting, cheekbone reduction, rhinoplasty and double eyelid surgery.

However,  her v-line surgery has played the biggest part in Anastasia’s new look.

ID Hospital: How was your consultation?

Anastasia: The doctor answered every question I had. I made sure they understand exactly what I wanted. The doctors have been super patient. My goal is to be as natural, soft and feminine as possible.

ID Hospital: How do you feel right now?

Anastasia: More than excited. Also a little bit nervous but that’s a normal human feeling.

 

What happens during v-line surgery?

An expert surgeon will first adjust the shape of the chin with a cutting procedure known as an osteotomy. This procedure can make a long chin shorter or a recessed chin fuller. Then bone will be cut from the edges of the jaw to make a softer jawline. Because the new jawline resembles a ‘v’ shape, the procedure is called v-line surgery.

When Anastasia had her plastic surgery she came out of the operating theatre swollen and bruised. This is a normal part of recovering from any surgery.

Is it hard to recover from the surgery?

V-line surgery can be more invasive than other plastic surgery procedures. It is done under general anesthesia and requires overnight hospitalization. ID Hospital advises you can return to your normal routine after one week.

How did Anastasia feel about her results?

ID Hospital: How do you feel about your results?

Anastasia: “I just love my side profile so much. A lot softer and more rounded. It’s just very natural and I really like that a lot. These people can transform a human. And I’m one of them. I would definitely give ID ten stars.”
